Jakari Jevon Griffin departed this earth on Tuesday December 31, 2024. He was born July 25, 2023, to Tekara Chandler and Jarvis Jevon Griffin, Jr. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Ersae Griffin and great grandfather, Franklin Griffin of Clarksville TN; and grandfather, Mr. George Crump of Salisbury NC; great grandfather, Will Jack Chandler and great grandmother, Leola Pratt Chandler

Jakari was known for his bright smile, who fought a battle since he was born weighing 1 pound and 1.3 oz at birth, he was a fighter. His favorite activity was bouncing in his bouncer. He also enjoyed watching his favorite movie Shrek on his iPad.

Jakari leaves to cherish precious memories, his mother, Tekara Chandler; his father, Jarvis Griffin Jr.; his siblings, Serenity Little of High Point, NC, Jusavion Griffin of Kentucky, Zayquan Little of High Point, NC, Jamarri Griffin of Nashville TN, Jakobi Griffin; his grandmothers’ Rasheda Bivins-Thurman (Evelyn Thurman) of High Point, NC; great aunt, Tahitia Lee; great uncle, Christopher Gilchrist of Winston Salem NC; his grandfather, Jarvis Griffin, Sr. of Clarksville, TN; his grandmother, Sarah Crump of Salisbury NC; great grandmother, Mary C. Williams; great grandfather, James C. Williams of Salisbury, NC; great grandmother, Mary Brant of High Point, NC; great great-grandmother, Mary Gray of High Point, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel The family will receive friends at the chapel from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
