Obituary For Cheryl Ransom

MS. CHERYL DENISE RANSOM – AGE 43, Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She was previously employed by Wheland Foundry and Pilgrim’s Pride, attended Chattanooga Valley High School where she played basketball and ran track, and continued her education at Ridgeland High School upon graduating in 1990. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Nancy Ransom, Robert Louis and Mattie Christopher, uncle, Michael Ransom, Sr., and cousins, Ortega Lumpkin and Warren Ransom. She is survived by her parents, Bernard and Angela Ransom; children, Lakeisha Ervin, Erica Danielle Ervin-Jackson, Corneshia and Cornelius Jr. Heard, two brothers, Bernard L. (Aimee Neal) Ransom, Jr. and Bradford (Yashic) Ransom; two sisters, Kimberlyn Ransom and Sheena (Jarrad) Grove; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. The Service to Celebrate the life of Cheryl Ransom will be held Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Salem Baptist Church, 756 Dewberry Road, Rossville, Georgia 30741, with Pastor Andre Sharpe and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday Evening at the church from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Interment, Garmany Cemetery.
