Obituary For Velma Jones

MRS. VELMA A. JONES – AGE 102, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was born January 10, 1912 in Tunnel Hill, Georgia to Thomas and Lillian Waters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil Allen Jones, Sr., five children, Wayne, Sarah Lillian, Robert “Bobby”, Virgil A. Jones, Sr., and Edward Lamar Jones, eight sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Kathryn J. (Henry) McDade; one daughter-in-law, Maureen D. Jones; twelve grandchildren, Roy Mack, Shonta Mack, Michael R. Towns, Pamela P. Allen, Henry A. McDade, Mickey McDade, Darren R. McDade, Carol Levy, Crystal Watters, Sarah Ortiz, Velma Jones-White, and Virgil A. Jones, III; twenty great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service for Mrs. Velma A. Jones will be held Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. officiating.
