Obituary For Myrtle Adams

MRS. MYRTLE V. LANGSTON ADAMS,- AGE 89, - of Ringgold, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 at her residence. She was the mother of the Adams Gospel Singers, member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin “A. C.” Adams, Sr., and daughters, Mary Jane Adams, and Myrtle Mae Holloway. Survivors are her son, Alvin (Katie) Adams, Jr.; daughters, Janie Mae Boykin, Flora Marie (Rev. Dennis) Moore, Gaddie Mae (Rickey) Blanks; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren; son-in-law, James O. Holloway, Sr.; sister, Betty Jean Adams; sisters-in-law, Mary Lumpkin Smith, Lula M. Wheeler, Betty Langston; brother-in-law, Charles Adams, Leroy Adams; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Celebration Service will be Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2:00 P. M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold, Georgia with her grandson Rev. Craig Moore as Eulogist, Pastor Jimmy Ingram, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Ringgold Community Cemetery.
