Obituary For Sandra Burley

MS. SANDRA JAMES RIVERS BURLEY – Age 68, - Of Lithonia, Georgia and formerly of Dalton, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Dekalb Medical Center. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, a graduate of Emery Street High School, and preceded in death by her parents, Mr. James Rivers and Mrs. Azilee Doss Rivers, sisters, Sherry Rivers Longmire, Gail Rivers Lampley, brother, Clinton Betton, and a special aunt, Mrs. Mary Rivers Betton. Survivors are her two daughters, Lillie Charlane Taylor Pender of Lithonia, Georgia, and Maria (Jerry) Harris of Snellville, Georgia; son, Mariante McBrewer of Norcross, Georgia; two sisters, Dianne Rivers, and Liz (Freddie) Moore of Dalton; grandchildren, Kendra Pender of Decatur, Kesha Pender, Lincoln Pender of Lithonia, Jerimiah Harris, Jenisis Harris, and Jonah Harris of Snellville; aunt, Mrs. Eva Lou Rivers of Dalton; uncle, Mr. Henry Doss of Los Angeles, California; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 1:00 p. m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with Dr. Stephen Thomas, Rev. Chris Bonds, and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home after 11:00 a. m. on Thursday and at the church one hour before the service. Interment at Center Valley Cemetery in Chatsworth, Georgia.
