Obituary For Roger Cooper

MR. ROGER LEE COOPER AKA “ABDULLAH MAHAMMAD” – Age 62, - Of LaFayette, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at his residence. He was a graduate of Dalton High School, was retired from Riley Construction, and was preceded in death by his father, F. L. “Pete” Cooper, sisters, Lillian “Lynn” Cooper, Dorothy Ann Moore, and Mae Pearl Cooper, and brother, Otis “C.L.” Cooper. He is survived by his mother, Nellie Mae Cooper; sisters, Evang. Diane (Charles) Bonds of Dalton, Georgia and Dr. Mattie (Bishop James) O’Neal of Kakomo, Indiana; brother, Elder Kenneth (Natalie) Cooper of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Myron Mayberry of Detroit, Michigan; sister-in-law, Wander Cooper; aunts, Mattie McDade, Ardella Weaver of Dalton, and Kate Weaver; uncle, Eugene Cooper; special friend, Melissa Homan; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service for Mr. Roger Lee Cooper will be held Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 3:00 P. M. in the Chapel with Elder Kenneth Cooper, Bishop Reuben Graham and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday Evening from 6:00 P. M. until 8:00 P. M. Interment, Chattanooga National Cemetery.
