MR. LEWIS DEMPSEY POWELL, - AGE 71, - Of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Heritage Healthcare at Shepherd Hills. He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Powell, sisters, Edna Powell, Laura Mae Dixon, and Alma Ruth Powell. Loving survivors are his four daughters, Kristi Marie Powell of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Thompson, Monnie Loveless, Ann Marsh, of LaFayette, Georgia; two sons, Forest (Butch) Foster, Thomas (Foster) Wheeler, of Sidney, Ohio; a devoted friend, Eddie O’Neal; eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; special nieces, Shelia L. Hardy, Sandra D. Powell; special nephews, Carlos D. Powell, Norman E. Dixon, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Cove Road Church Of God in LaFayette, GA. with Pastor James Brown officiating.
