Obituary For Janie Lawrence Montgomery

MRS. JANIE MAE LAWRENCE MONTGOMERY, - Age 76, Of LaFayette, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at LaFayette Health Care. She was preceded in death by her father, Sam Lawrence, mother, Minnie Bell Lawrence, granddaughter, Shanna Montgomery, sisters, Vernell Davis, Louise Mapp, Nora Burse, Alma Cleola Almon, and brother, Thomas Maddox. Survivors are her sons, Donald (Valerie) Lawrence, Sr., James Montgomery, Jr., and Samuel Montgomery; daughters, Vernetta Montgomery and Julia Griffin; grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) Linder, Donald (Tasha) Lawrence, Jr., Seleatha Fain, Janie Antesha Griffin, Jawanna Griffin, Fred (Lisa) Shropshire, Cosmo (Jennifer) Montgomery, Jamie Shropshire, Corey Ramsey, and Courtney Ramsey; sister, Nora (Richard) Wheeler; twenty great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1:30 P. M. at Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Donald White as Eulogist, and Pastor Jeffery Copeland officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. Interment, Marsh Memorial Garden.
