Obituary For Josie Mae Harris

MRS. JOSIE MAE HARRIS – Age 88, Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at her residence. She was a member of Midway Independent Church, retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher Yarn Mill, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Lawrence, and two daughters, Betty Harris and Georgia Thompson. She is survived by her children, Herman Warthen, Grace Warthen, Melvin (Janice) Warthen, Charles (Elizabeth) Warthen, Russell (Amy) Harris, Edna (Matthew) Washington, Jimmy Harris, Shelly Marsh, and Angela (Eric) Gunn; twenty-four grandchildren; great grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Bessie Montgomery and Alice Bonner; one brother, Ross Harris; sister-in-law, Josie Harris, Jessie Harris, and Lois Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, with Rev. Jimmy Ingram, Rev. James Clark, Eulogist, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday Evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, Ringgold Community Cemetery.
