Obituary For Rev. Willie White

REV. WILLIE BERNARD WHITE- Age 90, Of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 in quiet peace at Erlanger Hospital with his family surrounding his bedside. He was born on October 3, 1924 in Griffin, Georgia to the late Lucille Smikes and Charles White. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Rosa Mae and Ola Mae White, brother, H. I. Willis, first wife, Magnolia White, sons, Gary Rounsaville, Anthony White, and Frederick White. Rev. White was the former Pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Fairground Baptist Church, Zion Hill Baptist Church, and other churches, retired from Dixie Savings Store, Mercury Cab, and Franklin Strickland Funeral Home. He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Evangelist Dyanna White; sons, William (Mozell) Rounsaville, Elder Michael (Lori) White, Walter White, and Ashford Alfonso Rounsaville; daughters, Patricia (Donwakey) Spencer and Linda West; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. A Celebration of life for Rev. Willie B. White will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 12:30 p. m. at Olivet Baptist Church with Pastor Eugene Stamper as Eulogist, Pastor Gerald Penn, Presiding, and Pastor Kevin Adams officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a. m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 – 7:00 p. m. with words of comfort from the Concerned Clergy of Dalton. Interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.
