Obituary For Sylvester Lewis, Jr.

MR. SYLVESTER LEWIS, JR. – Age 67, Of Kensington, Georgia passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at his residence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Lewis, parents, Sylvester and Helen Louise Mills Lewis, Sr. He is survived by his children, three daughters, Bridgette (Edward) Rollins, Temaka (Ernest) Byrd, Jr., and Shante Lewis; four sons, Phillip (Belica) Lewis, Gary Lewis, Marcus Lewis, and Tony (Pinky) Russell; two sisters, Brenda (Tony) Ballanger and Christine Lewis; brothers, Robert Lewis, John Lewis, and Richard Lewis; aunts, Mary Helen Lewis, Mary Helen Mills, and Mary Lewis; mother-in-law, Anne Mae Bryant; nineteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 427 Southern Road, Chickamauga, Georgia with Pastor William Tramble and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday Evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment will be held Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:30 A.M.
