Obituary For Mary Elizabeth McDaniel

MS. MARY ELIZABETH PORCH MCDANIEL- Age 68, Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Floyd Medical Center with her family at her bedside. She was a member of Mountain Ridge Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillie Mae Scott Porch, son, Willie Rodney Turner, daughters, Joy McDaniel and Celeste Turner, sister, Sandra Porch Johnson, and brothers, George Franklin Porch and John Louis Porch. She is survived by her daughter, Dorcas (Reginald) Taylor; son, Kim (Gloria) Turner; sisters, Irene Trammell and Cora Lee Lowe; aunt, Laura Johnson; ex-husband, James McDaniel; stepdaughter, Lethera (Tony) Blalock; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, 1401 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, Gordon Memorial Gardens.
