MRS. MURVAL ALETHA CANSLER PORCH – Age 88, Of Durham, North Carolina, formerly of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Durham, North Carolina. She was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leonard Porch, son, Rickie Jerome Jacobs, daughter, Dr. Sylvia M. Jacobs, and former husband, Love Jacobs. She was survived by her children, daughters, Aletha (David) Lucas of Denver, Colorado, Tracie Merriman of Sims, North Carolina, Charlotte Porch Alexander of Durham, Natalia (Claude) Baudin of Diamond Bar, California; son, Paul Porch of Vista, California; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church with Dr. Cheviene Jones and Pastor Joseph McKibbens officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment, Gordon Memorial Gardens.
