Homegoing Services for Mr. Melvin “Uncle Mel” Durant, will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 11:00 A.M. at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary. Public Viewing and Visitation will be held at the mortuary Monday, with the family receiving friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memory, his 6 siblings, Nathaniel (Juliette), of Slidell, LA., Doris Durant, of Slidell, LA., Mary Durant, of Conyers, GA., Bradley Durant (Brenda), of Jonesboro, GA., United States Army "Retired" MSG Donald R. Durant, Sr. (Marilyn), of Ocoee, FL., Chiquita Bradley (Andre), of Lithonia, GA.; Melvin will also be loved and missed dearly by a host of nieces and nephews, whom he was always known as “Uncle Mel”. He also had a special bond with his fur nephew Chase.
