Obituary For Georgia Holmes

MRS. GEORGIA MAE ROOKER HOLMES - Of Atlanta, Georgia and formerly of Dalton passed away on Friday, July 03, 2015 with her family at her bedside. She was a retired Nurse from Grady Hospital and was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Holmes, Jr., daughter, Cynthia Holmes Williams, parents, Adolphus and Olean Morris Rooker, Sr., four sisters, and four brothers. Survivors are her son, William A. (Veronica) Holmes, III of Douglasville, Georgia; daughter, Kimberly Michelle Holmes of Atlanta, Georgia; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; sister, Brenda Rooker Hannon of New York; devoted friend, Deacon John Betton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Graveside Service will be Friday, July 10, 2015 at 1:00 p. m. at West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Simpson officiating.
