MR. SAMMIE “MICKEY” HARRIS - AGE 71, Of Calhoun, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was employed by the Johnny Pye, Sr. Family and Pye Automotive. For many years, he was employed at Gordon Hospital and Hamilton Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Harris, and parents, Sammie and Polly Passley Harris, Sr. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Brenda Curtis Harris; two sons, Lance Harris of Calhoun and Minister Eric (April) Harris of Canton, Georgia; grandchildren, Charvez Harris, Eric Harris, II., Martez Harris, Trey Harris, Aliyah Harris, Andrew Harris, Jada Hubbard, and April Harris; five great grandchildren; brothers, Terry Harris of Plainsville, Georgia, Ray Harris of Calhoun, Kent Harris of Cartersville, Georgia, Buford Christian, and Lawrence (Mary Ruth) Garigan of Calhoun; sisters, Veronica (Thomas) Chattam and Sharon Burge of Calhoun; daughter-in-law, Tammy Harris; brothers-in-law, Marvin (Lori) Curtis of Sonoraville, Georgia, Eugene (Joyce) Curtis of Aurora, Colorado; sisters-in-law, Annette (Willie) Williams of Jacksonville, Florida, Sarah Curtis, and France Harvey of Sonoraville; special families, Johnny Pye, Jr., Devona Poe, Kim Pye, Jackie Poe, Sean and Janna Pye, Whitney and Ty Gay, and Parkers Restaurant; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M at Belmont Baptist Church, 275 W. Belmont Drive, Calhoun, with Rev. Zachery Washington, Minister Eric Harris, Eulogist, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday Evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
