OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Opelousas Family Worship Center in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Dorothy Dell Jones, 88, who entered eternal rest on Monday, January 6, 2025 at her residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Garden of Memory Cemetery in Opelousas, LA.

Bishop Albert Richard, Pastor of Opelousas Family Worship Center, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Jones’ memories are being cherished by: her five sons, Johnny (Sabrina) Horne, Robert (Margie) Lyle and John (Katherine) Lyle, V, all of Opelousas, LA, Jason (Vanessa) Lyle of Humble, TX and Tedell (Angela) Jones, Jr. of Monroe, LA; five daughters, Robbin Lewis and Evangelist Debora Modique, both of Opelousas, LA, Michelle Fisher and Rosilyn Lee (Walter), both of Houston, TX and Tracy White (Theo) of Spring, TX; one sister, Rose Law of California; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Tedell Jones, Sr.; her parents, Claude Dunbar and Grace Hall; and her bonus father, Earl Hall.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Opelousas Family Worship Center.
