MR. RICHARD ANTHONY BROOME- Age 55, Of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was a member of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his parents, father, Charlie Ray Broome, mother, Mattie Ruth Smith Broome, brother, Charlie Roy Broome, Jr., wife, Darlene McMichael Broome, and sister, Sherry Watson. He is survived by his son, Sinclair Anthony (Gabby) Broome of Dalton, Georgia; daughter, Christa McMichael; grandchildren, Caya Atkins, Caylyn Atkins of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Zion Broome, and Nigel Broome, of Dalton; a devoted friend, Debra Carter; sister, Kathy (Marcus) Barrett; brothers, Calvin Broome, Jeffrey Broome, and Willie Broome of Dalton; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
