Obituary For Ethel Mae Moore Betton

MRS. ETHEL MAE MOORE BETTON – Age 75, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015. She was born on December 31, 1939, was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, and retired from E. & B. and Armstrong Carpets. She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Betton, Sr., father, Lonnie Moore, granddaughter, Mara L. Avery, sisters, Annie Ruth O’Neal, Malinda Jackson, and nephews, Craig O’Neal, and Steve Andrews. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Leon) Avery; sons, James Betton, Jr., Junis “Pedi” Betton; grandchildren, Ryan Betton, Samantha Avery, Ashton Avery, Irish Betton; great grandchildren, Kyera Betton, Kirah Betton, Kass Betton; mother, Dollie Moore; sisters, Lillie (Raymond) Bonds, Sarah (Allen) Andrews, Shirley (Jerry) Willis, and Mary (Charles) Avery; brothers-in-law, Henry Jackson, all of Dalton, Georgia, John (Angenette) Betton of Atlanta, Georgia; aunt, Jean Davis of Detroit, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 A. M. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2014 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton with Rev. Dr. Charles McAfee, Rev. Chris Bonds, and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 a. m. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M.
