Obituary For LaFayette Daniel

MR. LAFAYETTE REYNOLDS DANIEL – Age 89, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Washington, father, William Henderson Daniel, and mother, Jewel Love Daniel, brother, George Daniel, three sisters, Mamie, Louvenia, and Annie. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and was a Veteran of the United States Navy and Army. Survivors are his son, Demetrius Lafayette Daniel of New York City; daughter, Tammie Kaye Daniel of Chickamauga, Georgia; two sisters, Flossie (J. L.) Burse of LaFayette, Georgia, Fannie Davis of Chickamauga; sister-in-law, Virginia (Donald) Peterkin of Columbia, South Carolina; brothers-in-law, Ezekiel (Prunella) Washington of Englewood, New Jersey, Rev. McKinley (Beulah) Washington of Ravenel, South Carolina, Benjamin (Mary) Washington, James Washington, of New York City, Elijah Washington of Sumter, South Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. The Homegoing Service will be Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 427 Southern and Prospect Road, Chickamauga, Georgia with Rev. William Tramble, Jr., Rev. McKinley Washington, Jr., and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 p. m. at Plesant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Garmany Cemetery with Military Rites.
