Obituary For William Bob Stephens, Jr.

MR. WILLIAM BOB STEPHENS, JR.– Age 72, Of Calhoun, Georgia and formerly of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 after several years of declining health. He retired from Fafnir Bearings Inc. of Calhoun, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, and served in Air Force during the Vietnam Era. His parents, William (“Bob”) Stephens, Sr., Mary Goodwin Stephens, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cora and James Shropshire preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Gloria Shropshire Stephens of Calhoun, Georgia; son, Terrell (Rena) Shropshire of Tampa, Florida; brother, James (“Jimmy”) Steverson of Cartersville, Georgia; five grandchildren, Jaylen, Jordan, Isabella, Shropshire, Michelle, Johan Martinez; brothers-in-law, Sam (Norma) Shropshire, Stacey (Dannette) Shropshire; sisters-in-law, Robin (Kay) Wilkey, Kathy (Tim) Davis, Darlene Shropshire, all of Calhoun; former daughter-in-law, Brenda Shropshire of Navarre, Florida; two very special aunts, Ora Pullum and Clemmie Black; special cousin, Laura Pullum; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends of Calhoun and Cartersville, Georgia. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1:00 P. M. at Friendship Baptist Church, 452 West Line Street, with Pastor James Washington, Jr., presiding, Min. Deborah Harris as Eulogist, Rev. John Harris, special remarks. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. Interment, Gordon Memorial Garden.
