Obituary For William Eric Mitchell

MR. WILLIAM ERIC MITCHELL – Age 56, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. John Mitchell, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Witherow, and aunt, Mrs. Gloria (J.C.) Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Witherow Mitchell of Dalton, Georgia; daughter, Tomara (Marcus Hollen) Mitchell of Marietta, GA; sons, Willie Eric “Lil E”(Carley Fetzer) Mitchell of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Shedtrick R. (Nelsi) Witherow of Dalton; mother, Jennie M. Mitchell of Dalton; father, Willie Jim (Marsha) Mitchell of Calhoun, Georgia; grandchildren, Shai Harris, Serenitee Harris, Skye Harris, Sachai Wade, Jerimie Jaxon Wade of Marietta, Georgia and Lashay Witherow of Dalton; sisters, Tonia (Dwight) Winters of Chatsworth, Georgia and O’lita Mitchell of Calhoun; brothers, Jerome (Cynthia) Mitchell of Conyers, Georgia and Eddie L. Hampton of Calhoun; aunts, Allierene Stinson, Virginia Bryant, Barbara Jones, Rosa (Gary) Brooks, Georgia Butts and Christine (Walt) Lane; uncles, Early Mitchell and John H. Mitchell, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan Street, with Pastor Kenneth Scaife, Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr., and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
