Obituary For Joan Robbs

MRS. JOAN AUSTIN ROBBS – AGE 81, - Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Erlanger Hospital. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was retired from Collins and Akins. She was the widow of the late Gordon Lee Robbs and was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Clifford Austin and Mattie B. Austin, five brothers, and two sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Shenequa Ann (Frederick) Evans of Chatsworth, Georgia, Robbie (Herman) McSears, Jr., two stepdaughters, JoAnn Robbs, of Dalton, Georgia, and Donna Faye Williams of Detroit, Michigan; three sons, Gary Horace (Tammy) Mosley, Ronnie Lee (Regina) Robbs, of Dalton, and Reginald Scott (Beverly) Robbs of Atlanta, Georgia; twenty-five grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren, twenty-one great great grandchildren; sister, Willie Pearl (Bobby Joe) Knox, of Dalton, Mary Nell Johnson of New Jersey; three sisters-in-law, Violet Jackson, Martha Ray Harris, Robbie Anderson; two brothers-in-law, Quintin Robbs, James Morgan “Deed” Robbs; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 1:00 p. m. at the Community Fellowship Church, 409 North Fredrick Street, Dalton, GA. with Pastor Dr. Stephen Thomas and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 p. m. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Monday after 11:00 a. m.
