Ms. Dorene Richardson

Ms. Dorene Catherine Richardson, daughter of the late Mr. William Richardson and Mrs. Dora Richardson, was born on August 14, 1942, and departed this life on January 15, 2025 at Atrium Union Hospital, Monroe, North Carolina.

Ms. Dorene attended McRae School in Morven, North Carolina, and dedicated over 30 years of service at Charles Craft before her well-earned retirement.

A faithful and spiritual woman of God, she embraced her faith wholeheartedly.

Her love for Christ was evident in her commitment to White Oak Baptist Church, where she sang joyfully in the Gospel choir and actively participated in the Missionary Department.

Ms. Dorene is now united in spirit with her son, Kenneth Richardson; her grandson, Marqus Richardson; her sister, Beatrice Richardson; and her nephew, Norman Robinson.

She leaves behind her loving son, Lee (Lawanda) Richardson of Wingate, North Carolina; her granddaughter, Jasmine of Wingate, North Carolina; her great-granddaughter, Serenity of Wingate, North Carolina; and her grandsons, Roderick and Nigel of Wingate, North Carolina.

Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Haywood McRae of Monroe, North Carolina; one nephew, James Melvin (Brenda) Robinson of Morven, North Carolina; three nieces, Frances Little of Morven, North Carolina, Leisa Robinson (Stephanie) Loyd of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Sharon (Charles) Baker of Pageland, South Carolina; twelve great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

The Homegoing Services will be on Sunday, January 26, 2025, 2:00pm, White Oak Baptist Church, Morven, North Carolina. Interment will be in the family plot of the Madison Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.

The Richardson Family will greet family and friends on Sunday, January 26, 2025, 1:30-2:00pm, at White Oak Baptist Church, Morven, North Carolina and all other times at the family residence in Morven, North Carolina.

The public viewing for Mother Richardson will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 3:30-6:00pm.
