Mrs. Roshanda Catrice Jackson-Goins was born on January 5, 1975, in West Palm Beach, Florida to the late Joette Williams. The Lord called Roshanda (Peewee) home to be with him on January 9, 2025.
She attended the Brooks County School system and was a part of the Class of 1994. Roshanda was better known as “Shun” or “Peewee” to her friends. “Shun” had a soul you couldn’t help but love. She had a heart of gold and a presence that couldn’t be missed when she entered the room. She was a very outspoken woman who will truly be missed.
Shun was preceded in death by her late husband AlfornzaGoins, Jr., her mother Joette Williams, her grandfather Jimmie “June” Davis and her grandmother Earlie Rene Williams-Murray.
Roshanda leaves behind her daughter, Ashley Johnson;her step-daughter Destiny Goins, three grandsons Bryson, Messiah and Jayden; her special aunts Lillian “Pam” Newsome of Quitman, GA, Bobbie Jean Richardson (Ervin) of Quitman, GA, Debra Ponder (Freeman) of Quitman, GA, Jackie Marable (Ulysses) of Quitman, GA, Elnora Powell (Richard) of Warner, Robins, GA and Willie Mae Pressley (James) of Boston, GA; her uncles Jimmy Davis (Earnestine) of Quitman, GA, Rudolph Davis (Tracey) of Quitman, GA, William Davis (Christine) of Quitman, GA, Safford Murray and Steve Murray of Boston, GA; one great-great aunt Hattie Huggins and one great-great uncle Robert Williams (Minnie) and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 3PM-7PM.
A celebration of life will be Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 3PM at Calvary Christian Center in Quitman, GA. Burial will follow in North End Cemetery. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration.
