Obituary For Robert L. 'Bob' Brown, Jr.

MR. ROBERT LEE “BOB” BROWN, JR. – Age 79, of Dalton, Georgia and formerly of Cartersville, Georgia passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Morningside Assisted Living. He was a retired teacher of the Dalton Public School System, was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and was active in many theaters and live plays. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Rivers Brown, parents, Robert Lee Brown, Sr. and Florene C. Brown, sister, Elizabeth Rachel White, and daughter, Lisha Michelle Williams. He is survived by his children, Thomas F. (Marian) Pinson, Jr. of Dalton, Georgia, Mary Cecelia (Larry) Hall of Durham, North Carolina, and Verna (Myron) Lewandowski of Sharpsburg, Georgia; mother-in-law, Eva Lou Rivers of Dalton; brothers-in-law, W. C. White of Cartersville, Curtis (Patricia) Rivers, Jr., Robert (Helen) Rivers, and David (Ollie) Betton; sisters-in-law, Claudette Rivers King and Teresa Ray; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, 900 Roan Street, with Pastor Kenneth Scaife and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
