Obituary For John Thomas King, Jr.

MR. JOHN THOMAS KING, JR. - Age 79, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at a local healthcare. He was a member of the Baptist faith, was preceded in death by his wife, Louisa Andrew Fox, two daughters, Toni Briggs and Rosalyn Diane Garner, parents, John Thomas King, Sr. and Vanis Alma Fortson King, and brother, Marion King. He is survived by his daughter, Glenda (Albert Allison) King; three sisters, Lillie Mills, Joyce (Robert) Martin, and Janice Moore; uncle, Robert Jean King, all of Knoxville, Tennessee; six grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Northhaven Health Care Center. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at First Calvary Baptist Church, 1750 Delaware Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37921, with Rev. Benjamin E. Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. Interment, Highland South Memorial Park, Knoxville, Tennessee.
