Obituary For Charles Gilbert Bonds

DEACON CHARLES GILBERT BONDS, - AGE 78, - Of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bonds, Sr. and Bessie Gilbert Bonds; wife, Pearlie Mae Banks Bonds; five brothers, Johnny Bonds, Morris Bonds, Fred Bonds, Joe Bonds, and James Bonds, Jr.; two sisters, Jeanette Reeves and Jessie Mae Miller. He was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and worked 30 years at the First National Bank of Chatsworth. Loved ones surviving are four children, Djunna Bonds Steele and Keith Lamont Bonds of Chatsworth, Georgia; Patricia Bonds Neal and Charles William Bonds of Dalton, Georgia; six grandchildren, Ciera Witcher, Charles Derrell Christian, Kendall Bonds, Zulekha Neal, Camry Bonds and Zachary Dylan Bonds; five great-grandchildren, Addison, Dallas, ZaNiya, Zahria, and McKasmyne; two brothers, Herl Bonds of Dalton, Georgia and Clarence (Liz) Bonds of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; and a special friend, Carl Newsome; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 p. m. at the First Baptist Church of Chatsworth located at 121 W. Market Street, Chatsworth, Georgia with Rev. Wade Broome, Eulogist and Rev. Jimmy Ingram, Presiding, Dr. Mark Shaw, and other Ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 p. m.
