Obituary For LT. Colonel Wiley Elberon Conder

LT. COLONEL WILEY ELBERON CONDER – Age 83, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Royal Oaks Community surrounded by his family. He was born on March 27, 1933. He retired from the Marine Corps in 1973 as a Lt. Colonel and was retired from Eastern Air Lines where his duties included flight instructor in 1991. When he retired he enjoyed volunteering at a local motorcycle shop and formed new friendships that lasted his lifetime. He traveled by motorcycle all over the North American continent enjoying their friendships. Wiley’s life was never lacking in exciting adventures; whether it be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, scuba diving, hang gliding, or racing motorcycles. He is survived by his wife, Jane Morris Conder of fifty nine years; his daughters, Shay (Barry) Harper of Rising Fawn, Georgia, Kay (David) Pate of Waleska, Georgia; grandchildren, Brooke McMullen of Canton, Georgia, Christopher M. Harper of Rising Fawn, Georgia, Haleigh Pate of Canton, Georgia, and great grandson, Brennen McMullen; brother, Lawrence D. Conder of Charlotte, North Carolina; a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with full Military Honors. No flowers requested by the family.
