Obituary For Danny Thomas

MR. DANNY THOMAS – Age 61, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at The Health Care Center at Standifer Place. He graduated from Dalton High School in 1973, was retired from GTE/ALLTEL, and was a United States Army Veteran. His parents, Willie C. Thomas, Sr. and Ophelia Thomas, sister, Hazel Thomas, and brother, Lem Thomas, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Norma Lynn Jones Thomas; daughter, Siera Danielle Thomas of Dalton, Georgia; sons, Daniel Blake Thomas (Ashley) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Vincent Lamont Jones of Dalton; grandchildren, Carter Thomas, Brayden Thomas, Tyson Jones, Hannah Jones, and Hailey Jones; four sisters, Ernestine Hagans, Deloise (James) Suttles, Lizzie Mae Williford of Dalton, and Wilma (Raymond) Fouts of Calhoun, Georgia; five brothers, Willie C. (Glenda) Thomas of Dalton, George Thomas of Cairo, Georgia, David Thomas, Charlie (Margaret) Thomas, and Johnnie Lee Thomas; brothers-in-law, Dr. Jerry (Sharrel) Jones and Charles (Bernice) Mariney; special great great niece, Eden A. Watson of Dalton; special family, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Jackson of Tampa, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Bonds, Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr., Eulogist, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday Evening from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
