Obituary For Raleigh Sprowl, Sr.

SFC RALEIGH SPROWL, SR. (Ret.) – Age 81, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at his residence. He was a retired U. S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ruth Austin Sprowl and Harry Leon Sprowl, Sr., son, Raleigh Sprowl, Jr., brothers, Harry Leon Sprowl, Jr., Charles William Sprowl, Sr., ex-wife, Geraldine Davis Sprowl, devoted grandmother, Addie Young Sprowl, and stepdaughter, Eddie Dean Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Sprowl; children, daughter, Jennifer Austin of Dalton, Georgia; two sons, David (Walter) Sprowl of Atlanta, Georgia, Ted (Robin) Sprowl of Calhoun, Georgia, stepson, Jeffery Austin of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; sisters, Vivian Pender of Canton, Ohio, Dorothy Willis of Dalton, Willie Olean Reynolds of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Leone Nelson of Dalton; one brother, Thomas Sprowl of Edmond, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Maggie Sprowl, Johnnie Sprowl, of Dalton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Willis Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eugene Miller and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery with full Military Rites.
