MR. DESTON SCOTT TIBBS – Age 22, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born April 5, 2002. He was a graduate of Dalton High School Class of 2020. He was employed as a Team Leader at Walmart. He was a member of Crossplains Congregation Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. He was an avid videogamer, loved old school music, watching funny videos, being a daredevil , and making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his paternal great grandparents, William “Billy” Tibbs and Adele Watson Tibbs and maternal grandmother, Deloris Weaver.

He is survived by his loving parents, Scott Tibbs and Cassie Tibbs; siblings, Dion Sanders, Elizha Sanders, Taiyonna Tibbs; extended siblings, Olivia Tibbs, Mercy Chapman, and Ella Chapman; grandparents, Mary Lou Kilgore, Howard Kilgore, and Johnny Taylor, Sr.; aunts, Angelia Crawford, Crystal Macon, Marquita Cooper, Quida Mishler, Kamilah Blalock, and Kim King; uncles, Jarron Mishler, Jamal King, Kelly Taylor, Josh Taylor, Marcus Cooper, Mike Cooper, Johnny Taylor, Jr., and Jimmy Tibbs; great aunts and great uncles; niece, nephew, cousins, girlfriend, Katherine Galdamez, other relatives, and a loving congregation of Crossplains members, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Home with Brother Jarron Mishler, Officiant. Viewing will be Friday, January 24, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Willis Funeral Home. Interment; Hopewell Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
