Obituary For James 'Weachie' Howard Moore

MR. JAMES “WEACHIE” HOWARD MOORE – Age 78, Of Dalton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Wooddale Healthcare Center. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Watson, parents, father, Eddie Moore, mother, Frances Kenion Moore; sister, Alma Wofford; and brothers, Bert Moore and Clarence Moore. Mr. James Howard Moore is an Army Veteran and was a resident of Wood Dale Healthcare. To show his patriotism at Wood Dale Health Care, Mr. Moore continued to serve his country and its citizens by hanging a U. S. Flag outside Wood Dale every day and taking the flag in every evening, weather permitting. Modern Woodman of America donated a U. S. flag that is now proudly displayed in the lobby of Wood Dale for everyone to see. He is survived by his three grandsons, Ryan Watson, Darion Watson, and Jamon Watson; two great grandchildren; sisters, Marion (Leon) Cooper of Dalton, Georgia, Mary Frances Blue of Detroit, Michigan, and Faye Wingfield of New Brunswick, New Jersey; special nephew, Kenny (Dorenda) Moore; special nieces, Monica (Min. Bobby) Calhoun, and Lynette Stokes of Dalton; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 12:00 Noon in the Chapel with Rev. Rodney Weaver and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
