Obituary For Violet Jackson

MOTHER VIOLET G. ROBBS JACKSON – Age 100, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on June 30, 2016 at a local health care. She was a life member of Prospect Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Oscar Jackson, daughter, Dorothy Jackson, sons, Donald Jackson, Chester Jackson, sisters, Jimmie Young, and brothers, Gordon Robbs and Hardin Robbs. She is survived by her children, daughter, Lillie Mae Griffin; sons, James Jackson, Billy Joe Jackson, Marvin (Betty) Jackson, all of LaFayette, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Jackson of Chattanooga, Tennessee; special great granddaughter, Holli Miller Jackson; twenty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, forty-eight great great grandchildren; sisters, Martha Harris of LaFayette, and Robbie Anderson of New York; brothers, James Morgan “Deed” Robbs of Dalton, Georgia, Alvin Q. Robbs of Sidney, Ohio; sister-in-law, Marcell Robbs of Chattanooga; special niece, JoAnn Robbs; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, the E. P. Burney Family, and other friends. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 1:00 P. M. at First Baptist Church of LaFayette, 201 North Main Street, LaFayette, Georgia with Pastor J. Scott Copeland and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at Prospect Baptist Church on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, LaFayette Cemetery.
