GLORIA ELSIE EUBANKS, the daughter of the late Margaret Jenkins Alli and Kudroth John Alli, was born in Patterson, New Jersey.
She was a graduate of William Penn High School and retired in 1991 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with 38 years of service. She received outstanding awards in shorthand and typing. She continued to work and went on to work at the former Dauphin Manor Nursing Home for another 10 years and retired from there at the age of 72 years old.
Gloria loved to read non-fiction, fiction and biographies. She loved comic books and crossword puzzles as well. She also loved poetry and would always recite poetry. She loved to shop on network channels like QVC, HSN, etc. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, physically, mentally and financially. Whenever they needed her, she was there, including her children.
She was raised practicing the Catholic Faith and attended Catholic schools. As she got older, she practiced the Baptist faith.
Gloria Elsie Eubanks at the age of 90 years, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal life on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Long Island Community Hospital in Bayshore, New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, James Ausberry and Raymond Eubanks, Jr. and her granddaughter, Whitney Shay Craig.
Gloria leaves to celebrate her life and cherish precious memories of her are her children, Crystal Alli, Andrea Ausberry McNeil (Jesse), China Ausberry Scott (Leon), Renee Eubanks Graham (Herb), Raymond Eubanks and Shannon Eubanks; her siblings, Earl Alli, Doris Alli Neely (Charles), Victor Alli, Lorenzo Alli, Maria Alli and Larry Myers;11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Her life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Friday, January 24, 2025 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon and burial in William Howard Day Cemetery.
