Ms. Beverly Moultrie, 63, of Albany, Georgia departed this life on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at her residence in Albany, Georgia.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Friendship Baptist Church, 400 Pine Ave, Albany, Georgia.

Interment will follow in the Riverside - Oakview Cemetery, 200 Cotton Ave, Albany, Georgia.

Beverly Anntionette Moultrie was born on June 10, 1961 to Robert Sanford Moultrie, Jr. and Ardemra Oliver Moultrie in Albany, Georgia. She was the eighth child of nine, and third daughter. She joined the Friendship Baptist Church in her youth and remained an active member for many years.

Beverly attended River Road and WestTown Elementary Schools, Merry Acres Middle School, and graduated from Albany High School in 1979.In high school, she excelled academically and was voted a senior superlative.

She followed her brother Michael to Atlanta for college and graduated from Spelman College with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in English in 1984. Post College, Beverly's first job was with the Albany Urban League. Next, she indulged her passion for fashion as a buyer for Macy's in Glenarden, Maryland.

Upon returning to Albany, she found employment and her true calling as a Field Representative for the Georgia Council of Juvenile Court Justices for 14 years. She was a strong and determined voice advocating for Georgia families and children. Using her God-given gift for articulation, she convened citizen panels to provide feedback to the judges making life-altering decisions on adoptions and foster care placements. Her impact will be felt for generations.

She loved her family and friends, and she was always blessing others with birthday cards and sometimes with just because "I Love You Gifts." She was always baking cakes, cookies, and cooking special recipes for them to enjoy. She expressed her love by giving of her time and talents.

Beverly departed this earthly life to begin celebrating her new life on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Preceding her in death were her parents and brothers: Charles, Alton and Robert III and sister Yvette. She is survived by her brothers: Ferrell T.(JoAnn),Michael, and Marc A.(Melondy) and a sister, Sharon Edwards. Maternal Aunt, Glennelle O.Marcus of Baconton, Georgia and Paternal Aunt, Alice Moultrie of Albany, Georgia, and Correne and Doretha Moultrie of Albany, Georgia. Nephews: Jason Moultrie, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Gregory Moultrie (Shahnelle) of Atlanta, Georgia; Geoffrey Hall of Albany, Georgia, and William Moultrie of Cullonhee, North Carolina. Nieces: Lakatha (Ronny)Baker of Columbia, South Carolina, Stacey (Alfred) Dixon of Waldorf, Maryland,MayaM.,Faith N. and Morgan A. Moultrie of Atlanta, Georgia, and a host of devoted cousins, friends, classmates and colleagues.
