Mr. George Edward Downer Jr. (Buddy), an Anson County native, departed this life on January 4th at his home in Joshua Tree, California.

The Homegoing Services will be on Friday, January 31, 2025, 12:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will follow the service at Westview Memorial Park, Polkton, North Carolina.

The Downer Family will greet family and friends on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 11:30am-12:00pm.

The public viewing will be on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 3:00-6:00pm.
