Obituary For Elizabeth Ida Shellman Knox

MOTHER ELIZABETH IDA SHELLMAN KNOX – Age 91, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at National Health Care. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church for over thirty-one years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Robert L. Knox, Sr., daughter, Sheila McFarland, and parents, Rosco Shellman and Bessie Mae Appling Shellman. She is survived by her children, Carolyn D. (Robert E.) Finnell, Anneda L. (William H.) Woodall, Rhonda L. (Eddie L.) Horton, Jacqueline E. (Michael D.) McGintis, Robert L. (Rosetta) Knox, Jr., Rev. Donald E. Knox, Roberta Derry, Carmen Kasler, and Kimberly J. (Freddie W.) Davis, Sr.; grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren; one brother, William Shellman; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Service will be Friday, September 16, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Friendship Baptist Church, 20 Parrish Circle, Chickamauga, Georgia with Rev. Donald E. Knox, Eulogist, Rev. Hugh E. Byrd, and Rev. William Tramble, Jr. officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home for viewing on Thursday from after 12:00 Noon. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery.
