MRS. BARBARA JEAN SUTTLES – of Dalton, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a member of Mountain Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ramsey, brother, Willie (Bo) James Willis, first husband, Harold Anderson, stepfather, Osmore Ramsey, dear friend, Lucille Jewel. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Gene A. Suttles of Dalton, Georgia; daughter, Marissa J. (Bernard T.) Ellis; grandson, Noah R. Ellis of Union City, Georgia, sister, Eddie Mae (Horace) Moore of Calhoun, Georgia; brother, George (Alicia) Ramsey of Dalton; special nephew, Todd (Shana) Moore; special friend of the family, Kirk (Sylvia) Moore; a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; devoted friends, Gladiola Griffin, Curtis and Patricia Rivers, and other friends. Homegoing Service will be on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church, 1401 Martin L. King, Jr. Blvd., Dalton, Georgia, with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday after 11:00 A. M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. Entombment, Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
