Obituary For Mary Lewis

MRS. MARY HELEN LEWIS - Age 85, of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis, Jr., son, TSGT. Louis H. Silmon, parents, Jim Silmon and Alberta Whitlow, brothers, Charlie Blunt, Tommy James Whitlow, and Willie Frank Whitlow, and special cousin, Mattie Ruth Thomas. She is survived by her sisters, Elder Sandra Faye Harmon of Mableton, Georgia and Evangelist Nell Postell of LaFayette, Alabama; daughter-in-law, Christine Silmon of Chickamauga, Georgia; grandchildren, Ken Silmon of Chickamauga, Tina (Kevin) Silmon of Villa Rica, Georgia, Steven (Kristie) Lewis of Chickamauga; special great granddaughter, Dacia “Sugar” Silmon; sisters-in-law, Mary Lewis and Mary Lean Blunt; special friends, Gail Rice and Ida Mae; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Hope City Church, 7 North Tuxedo Avenue, Chattanooga, Tennessee, with Elder Sandra Harmon and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Thursday Evening from 6:30 until 7:30 P.M. Interment Chattanooga National Cemetery.
