Obituary For Robert 'Bobby' Hinton, Jr.

MR. ROBERT “BOBBY” HINTON, JR. – Age 63, of Dalton, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1953 to the late Robert Hinton, Sr. and Martha Smith Hinton and Homer and Carrie Helen Taylor. Bobby was a member of Christ Community Church and formerly was employed by the Dalton Police Department, the Dalton Regional Youth Development Center, and Miller Brothers Rib Shack. He graduated from Dalton High School Class of 1972. He is survived by his sisters, Annette Rhodes, Claudia Rhodes, of Dalton, Georgia, Anna Ellison of Calhoun, Georgia, Josie (Willie) Powell of Atlanta, Georgia, Beverly Taylor, Evang. Marilyn (Willie) Dawson, Celethia (Nathaniel) Morris, of Dalton; brothers, Jackie Rhodes of Dickinson, Texas, Homer Taylor, Jr., Kenneth Taylor, Randall (Angela) Johnson; special cousins, Juanita Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Min. Keith (Kalitha) Johnson, and Minnie Rhodes, all of Dalton; aunt, Vera Matthews of Davis, California; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, also the entire Christ Community Church Family, a dear friend and trustee, Jane Sneed, and other friends. Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. at Christ Community Church, 808 West Walnut Avenue with Rev. Eugene Miller and Pastor Chuck Harris officiating. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Friday after 11:00 A. M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M.
