Obituary For David Lee Williamson, SR.

MR. DAVID LEE WILLIAMSON, SR. – AGE 71, - Of Summerville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 25, 1944 to the late Roscoe Franklin Cornelius Williamson, Sr. and Jessie Lee Smith Williamson. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, worked at Mohawk, and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roscoe F. Williamson, Jr., and Rev. John Williamson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of twenty-seven years, Brenda F. Williamson of Summerville, Georgia; three sons, David Lee (Phyllis) Williamson, Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia, Willie (Ramona) Stewart of Rockmart, Georgia, and Ben Wiggins of Capital Heights, Maryland; three daughters, Tongeia Farmer of Chattanooga, Angelique Bankston of Summerville, Georgia, and Sabrina Wiggins of Capital Heights, Maryland; three sisters, Christanater (Henry) Wedgeworth of Summerville, Aileen (Randy) Adams of Rome, Georgia, Mary Bell (Charles) Wooten of Trion, Georgia; devoted son-in-law, Tracy Bankston of Summerville; sixteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; Godchild, Lil Bobbie Lester; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, James (Glenice) Thurman of Rome, Robin Williams of Summerville, Michael (Sandra) Allen of Cartersville, Louise Williamson of Rome; Vernon (Sandra) Thurman, Pamela (Warren) Albert of Summerville, Jerry (Bernice) Allen of Atlanta, Mary Thurman of Summerville; aunts, Frankie Shropshire, and Joan Terrell of Rome; a host of other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 2:00 P. M. at New Spirit and Truth In Jesus Church, 487 Scoggins Street, Summerville, Georgia, 30747 with Bishop V. T. Harden officiating. Interment with full Military Rites at Chattanooga National Cemetery. His remains will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.
