Obituary For Josie Mae Harris

MRS. JOSIE MAE HARRIS – Age 85, of Ringgold, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her residence. She was born on August 24, 1931 in Cochran, Georgia. Mrs. Harris was a member of Mt. Peria Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lester Harris, Jr., mother, Amanda Adams Mays, sisters, Ruby Johnson, Shirley Walker, and brother, Calvin Mays. She is survived by her daughters, Edna (Marshall) Lumpkin, Evelyn (Ronnie) Readus, Florence Harris, Henrietta “Retta” Harris, and Adrian Walker; sons, Robert Lee (Margarette) Harris, Jr. and R.J. (Nicki) Harris; three granddaughters, Erica (Kelvin) Foster, Tameka Harris, and Miranda Johnson; three grandsons, Anthony Lumpkin, Bryce Harris, and Corey Adams; great grandchildren, Jakeob Foster and Ayvah Foster; brother, Charles Mays; best friend, Ada Hinton; sisters-in-law, Bessie Mae Montgomery, and Alice Bonner; brother-in-law, Ross Harris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold, Georgia, with Rev. Jimmy Ingram and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, Ringgold Community Cemetery.
