Obituary For Anna Elizabeth Ellison

MRS. ANNA ELIZABETH CLEVELAND ELLISON – Age 82, of Calhoun, Georgia and formerly of Dalton, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her residence. She was a member of True Gospel Pentecostal Church, Mother’s Board, NAACP, past President of the Woman’s Community Club, and past members of the League of Women Voters, Blossom Hill Club in Rome, Georgia, and Dalton Chapter No. 230 Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, Dennis Ellison, mother, Melve (Verdell) Rhodes, sisters, Fannie Macon and Virginia Murray, and brother, Bobby Hinton, preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving children, Gregg (Tabitha) Ellison of Augusta, Georgia, Evalyn (Michael) Council of Tuskegee, Alabama, and Patrick (Serena) Ellison of Dalton, Georgia; sisters, Josie (Willie) Powell of Atlanta, Georgia, Annette Rhodes, Claudia Rhodes of Dalton; brother, Jackie Rhodes of Dickinson, Texas; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; special cousin, Myra (Henry) Baker; special friends, Minister Addie Ruth Allen, Francena Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Homegoing Celebration will be held Thursday, December 22, 2016 in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. with Bishop Reuben Graham and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday Evening from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
