Carolyn Jacobs 80, of Nashville, TN passed Wednesday January 22, 2025. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery 4873 Pine Hall Road, Walnut Cove, NC .

Carolyn Jean Jacobs, of Dayton, TN, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and kindness. Born on January 11, 1945, to J.E. and Wilma Cherry. Carolyn was a woman of deep devotion who touched the lives of many with her generosity and unwavering spirit.

On January 10, 1973, Carolyn married the love of her life, Bobby Jacobs, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Together, they shared 52 beautiful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, family and faith. She was a devoted mother her children, sherri Colleen and Michael Eric, who will forever carry her strength and compassion in their hearts. Her greatest joy came from being “Nana” to her cherished granddaughters, Kennedi and kAriel Richardson.

Carolyn was a dedicated member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC, where she lived a life guided by faith and service. In the early 2000s, she and Bobby moved to Nashville, TN, to be closer to their beloved grandchildren. Even as life changed, Carolyn remained steadfast in her faith, known for her selflessness, warmth and deep care for those around her. In her final months, she was an inspiration to all, facing life's challenges with courage and grace.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Bobby Jacobs; her children, Sherri colleen and Michael Eric; her grandchildren, Kennedi and Ariel Richardson; and her siblings, Shirley Greene, Leon Cherry and Richard (Rowena) Cherry. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends who became family. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.E. and Wilma Cherry, as well as her siblings, James Cherry, Wilbert Cherry, Jennie Wilkerson and Melvin Cherry.
