Obituary For Lewis Moss

MR. LEWIS ALEXANDER MOSS – Age 66, of Dayton, Tennessee passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017. He was a graduate of Ringgold High School and a United States Army Veteran in Georgia. He attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Dayton, Tennessee, a former member of Mount Peria Baptist Church in Ringgold, and was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Kay Partlow Moss, mother, Hilda Elizabeth Moss, and father, Alexander L. Moss. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Derek) LaBar of Woodbury, Minnesota, Jessica Lee Moss of Dayton, Tennessee; son, Alexander Lewis Moss of Dayton, Tennessee; granddaughter, Aubrey LaBar of Woodbury, Minnesota; sisters, Frances (Tommie) Hardson of Dalton, Georgia, Linda Porter of Atlanta, Georgia, Sibyl (Tracy) Washington of Dayton, and Brenda Moss of Ringgold, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, Sparks Street, Ringgold, Georgia, with Rev. Robert Henderson, Eulogist, Rev. Edward Ellis, and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Wednesday after 12:00 Noon. Interment, Ringgold Community Cemetery.
