Obituary For Bishop Eddie Jonathan Thomas, Sr.

BISHOP DR. EDDIE JONATHAN THOMAS, SR. – Age 62, of Chattanooga, Tennessee and formerly of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was the Founder and Overseer of World Restoration Center Home of Thy Kingdom Come Ministries in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He and his wife founded The Young, Gifted, and Black Concert Choir in Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Willie R. Thomas, mother, Mrs. Ida Marie Thomas, and niece, Tabitha Reneé Thomas. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cindy Clemons Thomas; sons, Pastor Eddie Jonathan (Amanda) Thomas, Jr., Min. Willie Roosevelt Thomas, III; daughters, Kimberly–Gayle Kristina Marlene Thomas, and Moriah Hope Thomas, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; grandchildren, Zakeea, Kennedi, Timothy Alan, and Christion, Braxton, Branden, Solomon; sisters, Dr. Willie Marie Thomas, Min. Elizabeth Kaye Thomas of Dalton, Georgia; brothers, Min. Timothy Roosevelt (Vickie) Thomas of Varnell, Georgia, Dr. Stephen A. (Dr. Dana) Thomas, Dr. David F. (Aretha) Thomas, of Dalton; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eddie James (Allene) White; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, the World Restoration Church Family and other friends. Homegoing Celebration will be on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Olivet Baptist Church, 740 East Martin L. King, Blvd, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37403 with Pastor E. Jonathan Thomas, Jr. as Eulogist. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. His remains will lie in state at the Willis Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 A. M. until 8:00 P. M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a Memorial Service on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Community Fellowship Church, 409 North Fredrick Street, Dalton, Georgia, 30721 at 7:00 P. M.
