L C Sanders, Jr. was born in Barfield, Arkansas on November 4, 1950, to L C Sanders, Sr. and Ella Lewis Sanders. He was a graduate of Armorel High School and was employed by NIBCO for more than 40 years. L C was a member of New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Clark Phillips. L C served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John L. Sanders and Eugene Sanders, and two sisters, Janette Day, and Emma Gibson.
Those left to cherish his memories are two sons, John Day of Orlanda, Florida; and Jermaine Smith of Blytheville, Arkansas; six daughters, Crystal Moore of Columbus, Ohio; LaWanda (Destry) Stirgus of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Kimberly Perkins of Little Rock, Arkansas; LaTonya Sanders of Blytheville, Arkansas; Tabitha Vincent of Clarksville, Tennessee and Veronica (Alandrus) Spencer of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one brother, James (Joyce) Sanders of Blytheville, Arkansas; five sisters, Dorothy Simmons of Albany, Georgia; JoAnn( Ray) Daley of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Judia (Leon) Bowie of Houston, Texas; Idella Sanders also of Houston, Texas and Bertha (Jesse) King of Blytheville, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 pm at New St. Paul Baptist Church, 515 East Sawyers St., Blytheville, AR where Reverend Clark Phillips is the pastor.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Phillips delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
