Mr. Larry Allen Brown, 70, of Albany, Georgia departed this life Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at his residence.

Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Third Kiokee Baptist Church, 521 Carver Avenue, Albany, Georgia 31705.

Interment will follow in the Floral Memory Gardens, 120 Old Pretoria Road, Albany, Georgia 31701.

Larry Allen Brown, the son of the late Ms. Rosa Mae Brown and James Crayton, and the grandson of the late Mrs. Martha Ann Alexander Hammond, was born on November 5, 1954, in Albany, Georgia. He transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father on January 29, 2025. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ms. Minnie Lee Solomon and Ms. Margarette Ann Brown.

He joined Third Kiokee Missionary Baptist Church in 1963 under the pastorage of Reverend R. B. Smith, Sr., and served with the Number One Usher Ministry.

After completing time at Clearfield Utah Job Corps Center, he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1973, and retired in 2003 as E9 Master Gunnery Sergeant. He spent his time in the Marine Corps serving this country in California, Hawaii, and Japan. In 2003, he was employed with the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier. He retired on November 10, 2024, after twenty-one years of dedicated service.

On December 20, 1977, he married Sandra Alexander. To this union, Kamina Danielle Brown and Larry Allen Brown, Jr., were born.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Sandra Brown, of Albany, GA; daughter, Kamina Martin of Albany, GA; son, Larry Allen Brown, Jr. (Keyonda) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Jasmine Jones of Marietta, GA, Alexus Martin of Albany, GA, Kamryn Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, and Kason Brown of Virginia Beach, VA; sister, Dr. Mollie Brown (Dizzie L. Carr) of Albany, GA; brother, Charlie W. Sims, Jr (Dorothy), of Savannah, GA; nephews, Clynt Williams, Jr. (Sue) of Albany, GA, and Lavoski Watts of Lawrence, GA; niece, Joy Davis (Johnnie Duncan) of Albany, GA; bonus son, Austin Ballesteros, of Albany, GA; bonus daughter, Elizabeth Faircloth of Albany, GA; and a host of other friends and loved ones.
