Obituary For Marsh Harold Wheeler

MR. MARSH HAROLD WHEELER – Age 84, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017. He was retired from Color Spectrum, was a member of Cove Road Church of God, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses Filmore Wheeler and Dollie Mae Marsh Wheeler, son, Scott Wheeler, brothers, Ernest Wheeler, Fred N. Wheeler, James R. Wheeler, and sisters, Gussie Johnson, Duferion Suttles, Clevedale Wheeler, and Mildred L. Hopkins Burse. He is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Maudell Davis Wheeler of LaFayette, Georgia; sons, Randy Wheeler of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Joey Womble of Dalton, Georgia, and Mark Womble of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Anita Michelle Gains of Dallas, Georgia, Marketia (Greg) Adams of Dalton, Georgia, and Lecia Gail Womble of LaFayette; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Bettye Pierce of Detroit, Michigan; brother Richard (Tiny) Wheeler of Cleveland, Ohio, Ray (Thelma) Wheeler of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Renee Wheeler of North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Janet Wheeler of Detroit and Gladys Wheeler of LaFayette, Cestor Wheeler of Detroit, Mary Sue Stamper, and Sharon Stamper of LaFayette; brothers-in-law, Danny (Lynn) Stamper and Emanuel (Jackie) Stamper of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Cove Road Church of God, 616 North Chattanooga Street, LaFayette, Georgia 30728 with Pastor James Brown and other ministers officiating. His remains will lie in state at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment, LaFayette Cemetery.
